Hello again and welcome to another weekly news round up!
A reminder that this covers all information that hasn’t been covered on the Top Florida Guide blog this week.
Beast’s Castle
The Fantasyland update within the Magic Kingdom Park can now clearly be seen. The view of something other than metal really does get theme park guests excited. Beast’s castle can now be seen poking it’s way above the maintenance walls and is showing up in surprisingly good detail considering it is unlikely to be open for another 18 months.
Jiko Cooking Place
If any of you love the Animal Kingdom Lodge Hotel as much as I do then news that improvements to the menu at the Jiko Cooking Place will come as a welcome. Although the menu itself is a fantastic one it would seem that Disney have added cheese and wine nights to the menu too! It would be great if any readers could feedback to me their thoughts if they have tried the new food.
Meeting Goofy In The Magic Kingdom
Onto Goofy next and guests will now have to meet him just outside Splash Mountain as a character from the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie is taking his spot for a few months.
Happy Birthday Expedition Everest
Finally, happy birthday to Expedition Everest!! I know I have mentioned this earlier in the week but it is a fantastic ride and is well worth another mention!

So onto this weeks news!
Main Street Theatre Reopens
Mickey Mouse fans will be happy this week as Town Square Theatre opened it’s doors once again as the new home for the famous Mouse.
Minnie Mouse also joins Mickey in greeting guests in this area of the park.
Don’t forget that this is also the very first meet and greet in Disney’s history to contain a Fast Pass feature. If it works you can bet money on them using this for other character meet and greets.
Planetary Go With Star Tours II
This week also saw further announcements on the new Star Tours ride! Readers will already know that I am pretty excited about this because I am going to be over in Disney on opening day!
Planet’s include the ice world of Hoth, the planet of Naboo and of course another trip to the Death Star!
Disney have also stated that there are over 50 different storyline adventures. You never know where the Force is going to take you!
April Foolery
Finally was my exclusive story about Disney opening a brand new Marvel theme park. Apologies for this, it was just an April Fool’s joke!
