Memories Of The Parks- Intro And The New Haunted Mansion Organ
I have realised in the year that I have been working on this site that I rarely keep my photo of the week category updated every single week which had led me to believe that perhaps I should be a bit truer to my word. Due to the fact I have a full time job and am always very busy during the weekends it is tough updating the blog with a decent photograph that I have taken every week which is why I have changed the category name to “Memories Of The Parks”. Not only will it allow me to put all of my favourite photographs in a place when I have the time but it will also allow me to go into detail on why the photograph brings me such fond memories.
Of course there will be times where there might not be a photo involved at all and it might just be that I dive into detail on one of my favourite memories.
The Haunted Mansion Organ
The Haunted Mansion is such a fantastic ride, as a child you quake in fear when inside and as an adult you appreciate every detail and pun that Disney have put into the ride. The great thing about Disney is that they are always thinking of ways to improve the parks and the attractions within them. This picture is a fond memory taken just a few weeks ago and it is simply one of the new additions to the outside of the ride in the brand new line.
Disney know that queueing up for an attraction is dull and although they cannot help how quickly the line goes what they can do is help to make the wait a bit easier. They have started to make interactive lines for some of the most popular rides and The Haunted Mansion was one of the first ones that they have done this with. Whilst I have taken many pictures of the new line and will likely put a post together on it shortly even in this one photograph you can appreciate the detail that Disney have gone into to make sure that even the outside of the ride looks fantastic!
Photo Of The Week 4-5-2011- A Very Quiet Main Street USA
This is something of a dream situation for anyone walking into the Magic Kingdom as you will find that the park is one of the only Disney theme parks that is hardly ever seen this empty. Whilst this is a dream to many during the colder months of the year it is a complete fantasy during the Summer and if you have ever seen the park this empty during the Summer I would love to know how, why and what was going on!
This picture was taken on the 2nd September 2010 which people will know is a time of the year where things begin to quiet down again as all of the schools in both the UK and the US have started again.
Something else to think about here was that it was right at the start of the day (just after watching the opening ceremony).
On the other hand during the day things didn’t really get much busier and I believe it was the quietest I have ever seen any of the Disney parks.

Photo Of The Week 14-03-2011- The Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps
Due to the fact EPCOT is such a gigantic park it is safe to say that a lot of the time people miss certain attractions and indeed performances from bands like the spirit of American Fife and Drum Corps that play outside The American Adventure.
Dressed in traditional red coats and playing music that dates back to the civil war and beyond this band is well worth watching if you have the time. Not only did I find the performance to be a very enjoyable one but even as a British citizen I found the performance very emotional as the band were paying tribute to all of the allied troops that had fallen in recent wars.
The next time you are walking past the American Adventure see if you can find out when this fantastic band are next playing because they really are well worth a watch.

Okay so I know I keep forgetting to put a picture up every Monday but you know what it is like, full time job, girlfriend + hobbies, it isn’t easy but I promise I will try and do something photo related every Monday from now on.
This week’s photo is got obviously Stitch from the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney. This is one of the best stores in Disney World and whether you are looking for clothes, toys, memorabilia and even kitchen product the shop stocks everything.
The reason that I have chosen this photo is simply because Stitch is one of my favourite Disney characters and I will use any excuse to throw him on the blog. Also my camera work doesn’t look too bad here!
Photo Of The Week 4-7-2010
This picture/photo of the week is taken from my favourite Disney park, EPCOT. Now there are many reasons I love EPCOT the most and one of these is thanks to Spaceship Earth. I love this ride and although I am a little disappointed as the update wasn’t what I expected it to be, it is still a fantastic ride and as you can see by the below image, it is massive!
