Legoland In Florida?
That’s right, if you haven’t heard already (I happened to come across it the other day when I was trying to book my next vacation to Florida) and it would seem that Legoland is going to be opening up in the fall of 2011 and will take the place of Cypress Gardens.
The park is set to be the biggest Legoland in the world creating a massive 1,000 jobs for the area and taking up 150 acres of land!
So your thinking that rides are not looking great because, well it is Legoland right? Well this is where you would be wrong and there is set to be up to 50 rides, attractions and shows to look into meaning you are certainly going to want to be here towards the end of next year.
Fans of Cyrpess Gardens will be happy as the majority of the gardens are still going to be maintained as part of the park and the Jungle Coaster from the Windsor Legoland is being transferred over to this park so those of you that enjoyed it in the UK will be able to ride it in Florida. Splash Island water park is staying open too but you will be charged for a separate admission to this.
Although I am happy that another park is going to be opening up in Florida and I will admit to loving Lego, I do hope they open at least a couple of rides that are mainly for adults otherwise it just makes the Lego parks a bit dull in my honest opinion.
However if you have ever been to the Legoland in the UK and enjoyed it like in my case expect things to be ten times better when it comes to 2011!
More news as soon as I get it peeps!
