New Cast Announced For Star Tours II
Short post from me today just announcing the list of chracters that Disney have announced that are to be included in Star Tours II.

Darth Vader
Boba Fett
You will notice a couple of things about the line up so far. The first thing being the last two droids on the list, they have been created specifically for the ride. On top of this the Skytroopers have also been created for the ride so it will be interesting to see how they turn out.
Remember that this ride is set between episodes 3 and 4 so hopefully all of our questions like “are we going to Dagobah to encounter Yoda” will be answered before the ride is open because I am really wanting to know how they plan to l link these brilliant faces of Star Wars together.
Star Wars Weekend Dates 2011
The Star Wars weekends at Hollywood Studios is every Star Wars fan’s idea of heaven from Stormtroopers dancing on the roof of the main entrance to celebrities from the Star Wars universe coming in and signing autographs for people. This year is going to be really special thanks to the new Star Tours II opening but what you really want to know are the dates.
From May 20th to June 12th on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the dates you must book in your diary if you are a fan of Star Wars.
A couple of pointers/information for this year.
Dressing Up
If you are planning on dressing up then great, not only do the kids dress up for this but you will find hundreds of adults walking around in full gear too so make sure you get involved with this also. Make sure you remember that you are not allowed masks into the park and this is so that kids do not confuse you with someone that is walking around as a Disney cast member.
Guest Stars
The two celebrities that have been confirmed to be attending this years events are Anthony Daniels who of course plays C-3PO and Ashley Eckstein who is of course the voice of Ahsoka Tano from the clone wars television series. There are going to be more celebrities in attendance so make sure you get in early and get queuing if you want a chance to get autographs.
Dance Off
As a final point do not forget that is has been a tradition for a Star Wars dance off around this time of the year, will be see a return once again this year?

Star Tours II Gets An Opening Date
All of you that pay really close attention to all of the attractions at Disney World will know that since September 2010 Star Tours has been closed for refurbishment. We all know that there are some big changes occurring on the ride from turning it into a 3D adventure to the fact that scenes from the prequel movies are going to make an appearance too but there has been some recent announcements that even diehard fans might not be aware of.
Before I begin, here was the video that appeared at the D23 conference stating the changes (in case you are still that far behind.)
So the details that have recently been announced are that Star Tours will open May 20th 2011, looks like just in time for the world famous Star Wars weekends at Hollywood Stuidos.
It has also been announced that we are going to see new droids, new speeders and even a new pilot (still a bad one no doubt).
More details are sure to come as the ride comes closer to completion, may the force be with you!

Unlike most blogs that do this kind of thing I am not going to be pointlessly submitting pictures for the sake of it every single day because I want this blog to be a lot more based on writing my opinion of all things Florida, Disney and Universal rather than showing people pictures so they can ooo and aaahh. However I thought that because I have such an extensive range of pictures from the state that I would start to show some of the ones I would not usually include in my blog posts just for the hell of it.
Why not, it’s only once a week right? So without further ado, here is this weeks picture!
As you can see, nothing inspiring, just an image that reminded me of the rush of getting out of the park after Fantasmic! has finished.
Day Off/ Star Wars Weekends
Another quick one really today as it has been my day off and I think that I deserve a bit of a break from blogging as well! Although Florida is on my mind whenever I am out of work it would seem that today is no different as a mate of mine came round today to discuss which rides he should go on and what he should see. (It is his first time and he only has five days in the parks!).
We didn’t take too long discussing which things are worth waiting for and which things you should leave until last but it was good to talk about the place and I have to say that I am looking forward to my trip later this year even more now. The worst thing for him about all of this is that he is missing out on the last Star Wars weekend in Hollywood Studios. In case you do not know what he is missing out on here is just a taste of the things Disney have on offer during the weekends in May/July of every year. Note that I will be posting videos of this year’s events in the near future.
