Splitsville Bowling Coming To Downtown Disney Area This Year
It seems that Splitsville have revealed further details on the huge bowling alley that they are placing within Downtown Disney this year. The new area will have 30 lanes to bowl from and an amazing 750 seats for relaxing and dining from!
Instead of offering prices based on games like in other Splitsville locations, there will be time slots of an hour. This is so that WDW guests can fit bowling into an already busy schedule. Of course, all of these reservations can be made before heading to Downtown Disney, something that comes as a big relief.
The only bad news about all of this is that the area isn’t due to open until the fall so we still have a while before we can put on our bowling shoes and aim to score a turkey!
Florida Girl’s Take On Fulton’s Crab House
Absolutely 100% recommended. The crab house is in Downtown Disney and it is definitely a restaurant that is worth saving up for to eat at.
I am not a fish fan, in fact if I never saw scampi or a prawn cocktail again it wouldn’t really bother me. However, my partner is a fish fanatic and would eat fish everyday quite happily. So we decided that we would look at the menu. As it happens they had cod and chips on the menu which I settled for so we booked up. I should make it clear that the only reason we were dining here is because we were on the Disney Dining Plan.
Fulton Full Of Fishy Goodness
We booked for a lunchtime so we were quite happy to skip breakfast and get there for 12pm. As soon as we walked in I knew it was going to be one big mistake-the smell of fish was absolutely horrendous. Needless to stay my other half fell in love. To add to this horror I asked on a hunch if they took the dining plan, and as it turned out they did not accept the one we were on. However, my other half really wanted to eat there and agreed to pay. We then looked on the menu and they didn’t serve cod and chips at lunch! So there I am thinking; Perfect, a fish based meal that I will not enjoy, and what’s more we are going to have to pay an extortionate amount.
However, I gave it a chance. The waitress was a lovely person and although we didn’t order any starters, she bought over a complimentary dish with a kind of crunchy bread and fish paste. I took the plunge and tried it, and it was absolutely beautiful. It did not have a very strong taste of fish, just enough of a hint to realise there was some.
For the main I went with a chicken and pesto sandwich on rustic bread and fries, and my other half had a crab sandwich. (as it turned out the menu had quite a selection for me.) I have only one word to describe it. Exquisite!!
Absolutely beautiful food and very filling. We took our time over our lunch and made the afternoon very romantic, and to be honest I don’t think either of us wanted the food to go. I was extremely pleased, and my partner thought it was well worth the money (including the tip).
Needless to say we will be going back as much as we possibly can.
To people who aren’t very fond of fish, like myself, it may not sound very appetising, but Fulton’s Crab House is a boat restaurant that has a lovely atmosphere and amazing food. Although it is quite expensive, it is a definite must for anyone going to Disney, whether you’re a fish person or not. It has something for everyone
