Snow White’s Scary Adventures to close May 31
First of all, apologies for the lack of updates over the last month or so, work has been hectic and then I went on 1 of 2 trips to Disney World this year!
Quick update really to say that Snow White’s Scary Adventures has been confirmed to close on May 31st of this year so you only have a couple of weeks left to ride it!
The good thing is that the construction for the new Snow White attraction is coming along very nicely indeed and it is looking to be one of the most exciting attractions not just in the new Fantasyland, but in the whole of the Magic Kingdom!
So as one ride closes another will open (hopefully this year) but that’s not to say we all won’t miss the original ride!
Fantasyland Time Lapse Video
Take a look at this amazing time lapse video of the new Fantasyland in the making over the past 18 months.
As you can see, the imagineers have come a long way in the past 18 months and with just a few more months to go before the rest of the new area is due to open, lets hope that everything else goes to plan!
Avengers Monorail At Walt Disney World!
So it looks like the rumours of an Avengers Monorail were true, the 31st March saw the monorail head out into Walt Disney World for the first time!

Plaza Ice Cream Parlor Opens Early With A Little Something Extra!
The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor finally opened it’s doors yesterday after having internal refurbishments for over 3 months! Whilst the overall look and feel of the restaurant hasn’t changed it seems to have had a very good clean-up ready for what will be years of more service! Disney haven’t simply opened the Plaza without first saying “sorry” to fans for its 3 month closure, a new product has launched!

The Gourmet Hot Cocoa

This brand new drink is being offered out exclusively at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and comes at a rather reasonable price of $5.99. It contains over 70% Valrhona cocoa and is served with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. All of this comes in a souvenir mug that you can take home with you!
If anyone has a picture of the new cocoa or wants to send me details on what you think of the drink you can message me @TopFloridaGuide.
Splitsville Bowling Coming To Downtown Disney Area This Year
It seems that Splitsville have revealed further details on the huge bowling alley that they are placing within Downtown Disney this year. The new area will have 30 lanes to bowl from and an amazing 750 seats for relaxing and dining from!
Instead of offering prices based on games like in other Splitsville locations, there will be time slots of an hour. This is so that WDW guests can fit bowling into an already busy schedule. Of course, all of these reservations can be made before heading to Downtown Disney, something that comes as a big relief.
The only bad news about all of this is that the area isn’t due to open until the fall so we still have a while before we can put on our bowling shoes and aim to score a turkey!
New Dole Whip T-Shirts!
Disney have recently announced a few new t-shirt designs that are on sale now at the Magic Kingdom. The best of these is based on everyone’s favourite treat, the dole whip! Take a look at the designs below and see what you think, the Churro one looks pretty good too!
For more information on the t-shirt designs and to look at the other two designs, please visit the Walt Disney Blog.
Complimentary WiFi Internet Access Now Available At All Walt Disney World Resorts
Is it just me or are Disney really listening to guests at the moment? On top of all of the deluxe resorts getting free WiFi internet in October, Disney have now rolled out the changes to all resorts! (Note, this even includes moderate resorts.)
So the next time you head to Disney make sure you pack your iPads as you will have access to everything you need! Make sure you turn things like emails off though, don’t let work ruin your Disney trip!
Disney Phineas and Ferb – Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure Coming To Epcot In The Summer!
It seems that after much speculation, Disney have finally announced that Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure will be replacing Kim Possible in 2012. One of the main reasons for this taking place is simply down to the fact that a lot of kids nowadays have no idea who Kim Possible is as the television series came to an end five years ago! Whilst it is a bit of a shame that Disney are replacing it all, (I used to watch Kim Possible) they have made the right decision as kids are far more likely to take the tour with characters that they are familiar with.
The great thing about any World Showcase Adventure is that it keeps the kids occupied in an area of the park that they may otherwise have found a bit dull (speaking from experience) whilst the adults can appreciate all of the work and cultural experiences that have been put into the showcase.
Here is one final salute to the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure!
AVATAR Land At Animal Kingdom By 2015?
Although 2015 seems a long time to wait, it doesn’t seem that it was that long ago that we were all thinking that the new Fantasyland was not going to be open until 2012! For a project the size of this, 2015 is reasonable, don’t forget that Disney and James Cameron will be wanting to get this perfect.
The news that AVATAR land is coming in 2015 comes as a relief to many Disney fans as there was a lot of speculation that severe delays had occurred. The date comes directly from Disney CEO Bob Iger so you can all now relax, AVATAR is still coming to Disney!
New Wording On FASTPASSES
A new line has been added to every FASTPASS that is distributed by Disney: “Not able to accommodate late arrivals”.
Although is isn’t massive news, it does show that Disney are putting effort into the new FASTPASS rules that were revealed a few months ago. This policy states that you are only allowed to arrive early by 5 minutes and you will be lucky to get just a 10 minute gap on being late.
These rules may seem harsh but they will result in faster waiting times across all FASTPASS attractions.
